Set up your chatbot
Lightwell Chat creates a personalized AI chatbot trained on your Instagram content. Your audience can ask questions about your content, get product recommendations, and interact with your brand 24/7.
Think of it as cloning yourself to handle community management — your bot knows everything you've ever posted and can instantly surface the right content and affiliate links.
Bot configuration is done in 3 simple steps:
- Creator Info: Tell us about you, your content focus, and audience
- Bot Config: Customize your bot's name, colors, and greeting message
- Affiliate Links: Upload your affiliate links (optional)
After completing configuration, your bot will be processed (usually takes 5-10 minutes) and then be ready for your audience to use.
Your chatbot automatically syncs with your Instagram content every Sunday at 2:00 AM CST.
During the weekly sync, we fetch any new posts you've published since the last sync, transcribe any new videos, match affiliate products, and update your chatbot's knowledge base.
Note: The initial setup processes all your recent posts (up to your tier limit). Weekly syncs only process new content since the last sync.
Get the most from Lightwell
When you upload affiliate links, our AI analyzes your Instagram content (captions and video transcripts) and intelligently matches relevant products to each post using semantic similarity. When someone asks about products in your content, the chatbot recommends the most relevant affiliate links.
Example: If you post about "summer skincare routine" and have affiliate links for sunscreen and moisturizers, those products will be matched to that post and recommended when users ask about it.
Your dashboard shows:
- Account Info: Your tier, username, and bot status
- Recommendations: How many content links and product links your bot has recommended
- Chat Usage: How many chats you've used vs. your monthly limit
- Usage Over Time: Chart showing daily chat volume
- Link Recommendations: Which specific links are being recommended most
- Q&A History: See actual questions and answers from your chatbot
If you reach your monthly chat limit, your chatbot will stop responding to new questions until your usage resets at the start of your next billing cycle.
Options if you hit your limit:
- Upgrade to a higher tier for more chats per month
- Wait until your next billing cycle (usage resets monthly)
You can monitor your chat usage in real-time on your dashboard.
Manage your subscription
To upgrade or downgrade your subscription:
- Go to Settings (Account dropdown in the top right)
- Click "Manage Subscription"
- You'll be redirected to Stripe's customer portal
- Select "Update plan" to change your tier
Changes take effect immediately. If you upgrade mid-cycle, you'll be charged a prorated amount. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
To cancel your subscription:
- Go to Settings (Account dropdown in the top right)
- Click "Manage Subscription"
- In the Stripe portal, select "Cancel plan"
What happens when you cancel:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period
- Your chatbot will stop working after the billing period ends
- Your data is retained for 30 days in case you want to reactivate
- You can resubscribe at any time to restore your chatbot
Account settings
⚠️ Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
To permanently delete your account:
- Go to Settings (Account dropdown in the top right)
- Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section
- Click "Delete Account"
- Type your username to confirm
What gets deleted:
- All your configuration data
- All affiliate links
- Your chatbot and RAG index
- All chat history and analytics
- Your Stripe subscription (automatically cancelled)
